FFT Aspire - Primary
This workshop is aimed at school leaders in primary schools and will focus on how schools can use FFT Aspire to analyse their school performance data to support rigorous school self-evaluation and improve school performance.
We will explore the FFT dashboards and help you to analyse, interpret and draw out key messages from school performance data. Schools will look at FFT’s approach to setting challenging targets for pupils as well as Student Explorer which gives details of your pupils’ whole education history – past attainment and progress, absence, previous schools, Pupil Premium and more. The Student Explorer’s ‘alerts’ system allows you to quickly identify need and maximise your pupils’ potential from day one.
Throughout the session we will provide you with the opportunity to reflect upon effective approaches to using school performance data, discuss ideas to enhance your practice and develop strategies for making better use of data within your school.
Please bring your laptop with you to get the most out of this session. You will also need to bring your log in details for the FFT Aspire data site. If you haven't yet subscribed to FFT Aspire please email management.information@kent.gov.uk

Getting Data-Fit for Ofsted (to include Inspection Dashboard) – Primary
This workshop is designed for primary school headteachers and senior leadership teams. The session will provide an overview of the range of data available to support Ofsted inspection, look at how best to analyse and present it, and consider important issues such as identification and tracking of vulnerable groups, demonstrating effective use of the Pupil Premium, showing progress in KS1 and KS2, and how to produce a suitable data pack and case studies for Ofsted.
It would be helpful to bring some of your own school data along to the workshop, along with anything you might already have prepared for an Ofsted inspection. By the end of the workshop, schools should feel more confident about using their data effectively and feel more prepared for an Ofsted inspection.
